Joey O'Brien (Williams) is a Brooklyn car salesman whose problems are building up to its inevitable conclusion: an ex-wife expecting alimony, a college-bound daughter, juggling a married mistress (Drescher) and a single mistress (Petty), and they're both sick in love with him. Not only that, but Joey is facing a loss of his job, and he needs to sell twelve cars in two days. Oh, and Joey has an outstanding loan to the mob, which needs to be repaid quickly, or he's gonna sleep with the fishes.

On the last day of Joey's deadline, the dealership is taken hostage by Larry (Robbins), an AK-47 wielding motorcyclist convinced that his wife Donna (Sciorra), who also works at the dealership, is cheating on him. Joey, who hasn't had much luck in selling cars lately, finds himself having to pitch something else to Larry: the incentive not to harm any of the hostages on the lot.

Recommended film. Robin Williams is always enjoyable, and Tim Robbins played a great misguided jealous husband.
