Feigning an illness one morning, high school senior Ferris Bueller (Broderick) persuades his girlfriend Sloane (Mia Sara) and his friend Cameron (Ruck) into a day trip into Chicago. They take off in Cameron's dad's newly restored 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California to go into the Windy City. The only two people skeptical about Bueller's "illness" are his younger sister Jeanie (Grey) and his principal, Edward R. Rooney (Jones), who believes Ferris to be truant. Ferris and his friends enjoy all of the sights, while two parking lot attendants take the Ferrari on a joyride. After Rooney tells Mrs. Bueller (Cindy Pickett) about his nine absences that semester, and falls victim to an elaborate prank over the phone orchestrated by Ferris and Cameron, he personally leaves the school grounds to find Ferris, only to find himself in a series of slapstick situations.

Despite the car being stolen, Cameron's frustrations at the added mileage (and subsequent damage) to his dad's car, and his sister Jeanie getting arrested for prank calling the police and falling in love with a drug dealer (Charlie Sheen) while in custody, Ferris still manages to evade everyone, and beats his parents home, so they find him still in bed that evening.

Recommended movie (this would be the first time I've ever watched it).
